It started with a collision. There was a leak, a crack, a bang, and then… a POP! Well, kind of… But more like this…
There were too many late nights and a tired job. A new baby, 152 dirty diapers and a few months off. There was a move across the country and a stretch of open road somewhere in Texas. Along came a mariachi band, a few beers, a bunch of laughs and a couple of tears and, well, The POP Nation was born.
We’ve created a delectable palate of flavor combinations for hot and cold, young and old. Whether it’s 55 and foggy or 95 and sunny, we’re certain we’ve got a flavor for you. From the savory Sea-Salted Vanilla & Olive Oil to the sweet and succulent Strawberry-Lemonade, you’ll find your taste buds quivering with excitement even before the first bite. Each time we bite into a POP we still smile as though we were five again. And so will you when you taste one of our creations. So look for us around the Bay and give our handcrafted all-natural POPS a try! Free yourself from the scoop.
Oh yeah, and this is us...
TIM
‘The POPtometrist’ came to San Francisco from Vermont where he previously worked as an artisanal cheese maker. Tim can be found scouring local markets for the finest produce or dishin’ out POPS downtown. Come say hello if you’re around! It’s rumored that he once consumed one hundred POPS in an afternoon and finished second in a marathon the next morning.
SARAH
‘The POP-Cyclist’ is a former international development worker and travel enthusiast. She is Tim’s sister and Annie’s old pal. When she’s not cruising around Davis, she spends much of her time digging for clams, testing recipes, and mastering the art of the loaf. She’s been known to get her morning jolt from a few Sea Salted Dark Chocolate Espresso POPS.
ANNIE
‘The Queen of POP’ is a Southern gal, full-time businesswoman, and mother. Yes, she’s the real deal. She spends her days doing all-things-POP. Her childhood and love of Asian flavors inspired her to create POP Nation favorite: Mango-Coconut & Black Sesame POP. Legend has it she prevented a train crash using only a Mango-Coconut POP.
MARK
‘The Smooth POPerator’ is a native of New Zealand and Annie’s other half. When he's not whipping up POPS, he can be found climbing trees, working on his 36 handicap, or trying to get his Feijoa tree to sprout some fruit. Mark brings a touch of down under to his creations. His old neighbor’s kiwi orchard and his love for spice inspired him to make the Kiwi Lime Ginger POP. If you run into Mark surfin’ the waves at Ocean Beach, let him know what you think.
